Providence Place expansion to start soon
GRAFTON — The Providence
Place senior living community will soon move
forward with an expansion approved last
year.
The original 40-unit
structure at 815 Washington St. in Grafton
was built in 2009, according to Village Plan
Commission documents.
According to a Plan
Commission report from Village Planner
Jessica Wolff last September, the 12-unit
addition happening this year was on the
original 2009 plan. The development needed
to come back to the Plan Commission and
Village Board because it was built under
planned unit development zoning ; the 2009
zoning did not include the additional rooms.
Both of those boards gave the
needed approvals last fall.
According to the site plan
submitted to the village, the addition will
be about 25,000 square feet, bringing the
entire senior living facility to about
